Rat - Small - Senior - Male - Small Furry - Ernie - project st

Ernie is a sweetheart of a rattie boy who was surrendered to Lunas House just in the knick of timebefore his former guardian could release him into the woods near his home. As most of you probably know, domestic animals cannot survive in the wild, and our buddy Ernie would have been no exception. Thankfully, we heard of Ernies situation through the rescue grapevine and were able to quickly intervene. We are so glad that we did, as Ernie is a tremendously nice little guy. After spending the majority of his life in a sparsely-furnished 10-gallon aquarium, he is so very pleased to be in his new three-story condo with a giant wooden hideaway and many toys to chew! Ernie is a Project Starlight resident, as he is more advanced in agejust under two years old. He would love to find a forever home with a family who understands that their time with him may be relatively brief, as the average lifespan for a domestic rat is three years.
