I'm looking for a good Beginner Street Motorcycle for around $1000. I'd prefer it be running and in decent condition without much work needed. I'd also prefer something that doesn't have a whole lot of miles on it.

I'd like a cruiser or standard bike, but I am open to anything that is a good beginner bike. I'm willing to consider Hondas, Suzukis, Yamahas, Kawsakis, etc. I'll drive fairly far to look at a motorcycle (if it seems like it's in decent condition).
