Utiliquest, the Nation’s leading provider of facility locating and infrastructure protection services, is seeking qualified individuals to join our Supervisor Trainee Program.

Our trainees would have the opportunity to learn all aspects of the Utility Locating through a 19 week intense program that includes Utility Locating, Dispatching, Quality Auditing, and Supervisor Training. Positions are open in the Baltimore, Beltsville, DCMetro, and Gainesville, VA areas.


· Preferred Experience includes Lead , Line Management or Supervisory Experience

· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required.

· Previous locating experience is preferred but not required.

· Experience with operations management is preferred.

SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in detection and marking of aerial and underground utilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Supervises group of ten or more Damage Prevention Technicians. Loads out tickets to each Technician daily. Conducts daily and weekly planning meetings to ensure quality control is in place. Conducts audits on field personnel to assure quality standards are being met. Builds and maintains contractor and client relationships. Assists Center Manager in identifying strengths and weaknesses of Damage Prevention Technicians. Assist Technicians with locating difficult to find utilities.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 10+ employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
