* { font:inherit; } UP DATE:  We are very sad to say that 7 of Jazzy's pups did not survive.  Jazzy was placed in a shelter by her owners toward the end of her pregnancy, then delivered her 11 pups while there, which caused her a great deal of stress.  We believe all the stress Jazzy went through may have brought on an early delivery and as a result Jazzy was not lactating.  Her remaining puppies were removed from her care when they were 2 days old and given around the clock bottle feedings.  Right now the the remaining 2 males and 2 females are being treated by our vet for some congestion, with two of them being very serious.  We will soon be listing them separately with individual pictures.  Please keep these little ones in your thoughts as they fight to survive.These are Jazzy's 11 pups who were born in a shelter on 9/2.  Jazzy was surrendered to the shelter on 8/28 by her privious owners who said 'she might be pregnant'.  Jazzy was very sweet when met on Saturday and knows at least some basic commands.  She is a bit protective of her pups right now because of all she's been through over the last few days.  Her privious owners did not have children or other animals in the home but they did take Jazzy (an unaltered female) to the dog park to play (with unaltered males.  Go figure why an unwanted litter happened.).  Their guess is that she mated with either another Rotty or a Golden.  The guess is that's correct since the pups right now look like they have some colors of a Golden in some of their coats, and more than one male can impregnate a female (http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/breedingtie.htm).   Jazzy had six males and 5 females.  There are three pups who are extreamely small and will have bottle feedings to supplement in hope of pulling these little ones through.  Pups will be given names at a later date.  Mom and pups will NOT be available for adoption until the pups are 8 weeks old on 10/29. We will start accepting application now for process.  Once approved, after the pups are a few weeks old, all can be adopted but still WILL NOT leave our care until their release date.
