UPDATE: Haley has spent way too much time in a kennel.  Although she is visited on a regular basis, it is NOT a home.  Living in a kennel causes dogs problems with behavior and depression.  Haley has started showing signs of being depressed by not having the interest in playing ball as she used to.  This girl is all about love.  She will be a great companion to someone who wants to take a walk now and then, will toss her ball for her and likes to just cuddle.  She is long over due for her new home.  If you can open your heart and home as a foster or adopter for Haley please contact us at dogrescuemd@live.com or submit an application at www.dogrescuemd.org  Are YOU the one who will change Haley's life forever?Hi, I'm Haley, nice to meet you! I was turned into the shelter because my people worked too much...or so they said. I am only about 3 years old, house broken, and I love to play ball...if you want to that is. I also like to take walks, I listen well, and am a calm girl while in the house. All I really want is some attention and love. I can be a little head strong of course because after all I am a German Shepherd mix! I do want to be the leader of the pack when with other dogs and try to hump them but some of them won't let me.I have a wish list, want to see it!?!1. a person of my own2. someone to give me love, understanding, and further my training3. a walk at least every now and then4. no more crate!5. to be taken care of as I should be6. did I already mention a person of my own?I've also heard that I need a new foster fast or something's going to happen to me called 'plan b' whatever that is. All I know is it doesn't sound good. Can I come stay with YOU until my new home is found please? I don't want anything else bad to happen to me.Thanks, HaleyHaley has been removed from her foster home and is now being housed at a boarding kennel. This is not easy on her or the rescue. Haley is used to being in a home, not a kennel environment, and the rescue cannot afford to continue long term boarding. Let's get Haley back into a home environment where she belongs.
