Elmo needs to have at least another playful dog in his new home. He is all about playing and would not be his happiest as an only dog. Meet Elmo who is Chihuahua, Mini Pin and Italian Greyhound mix (according to his brother's DNA), who is about 3 years old, is pretty much house broken, loves kids, other dogs and really loves cats! He has been great with everything in his foster home but seems towant to play more with the cats at this point.No food, toyor treataggression, not that he's playing with toys yet.Elmo truly is a sweet little guy whocomes to us with a history that makes him even more special to us. When he and his brother went to live with their first family they did so as 7 week old puppies from a back yard breeder in VAand where then named Elmo and Cookie Monster. After just a couple of months the owner gave Cookie Monster away. Cookie Monster spent about 16 months in that new home where his life was nothing but neglect and pain. at that point he was turned in to a kill shelter with BBs embedded and a broken back which was about 9-12 months old. Unable to walk, infested with fleas, very under weight, in a great deal of painlittle Cookie Monster joined our family and became known as JACOBI who you can read about at http://www.dogrescuemd.org/id19.htmlElmo is now looking for his forever home with a family who will love him every bit as much as we and the country came to love his brother Jaco.
