Hi, my name is Douglas and I'm an 8-year-old Doxie! I'm a sweet older boy who loves all the attention! If you're looking for a dog to go on short walks with you and curl up on your lap while you watch television, then I'm the boy for you! Don't let my age fool you though, I still have plenty of spunk! Animal Rescue, Inc is open for the public to come and see our animals:Saturday, Sunday 1:00 To 4:00Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:00 to 3:00Our adoption process takes approximately 5 to 10 business days. We appreciate your help and patience during the process. If you have young children, please consider the following suggestion. First and foremost, we are a shelter for life. Therefore, most of our residents are not in enclosed areas. They run freely and will greet you at the gate. For this reason, we ask that you don't bring children under 6 years of age to walk around in the dog areas. This can be overwhelming and/or frightening for a young person to be surrounded by so many dogs. We prefer that adopting a dog is a pleasant experience for everyone. We would like the children to meet the dog as a one on one meeting after an initial selection. If this is not possible, we recommend that a second adult be available to stay with the children while the adoptors tour the rescue.
